French In Action

Audio Program

The audio files are free with a free user account. The French in Action audio program supports the material covered in the videos and it is designed to be used in conjunction with the textbook. The audio program is a fundamental part of the French in Action learning program.

These episodes were originally distributed on cassettes—and later on CDs, which you may encounter at used book stores or on eBay.

The French in Action audio program is now available free online, but you will need to establish an account to access it.

Yale University Press hosts the French in Action audio files online. Access is free, once you create a user account:

  1. Yale University Press
  2. Create a user account (see item 3 below)
  3. To answer the secret question you will find a hint nearby to the question itself. When I signed up, the hint required me to look something up on a single page in the French in Action textbook, third edition. Incidentally, the response (for the question I was asked) is found on page 39 of the second edition textbook. Also, I answered the question in the plural and it worked. I am not giving away the answer because obviously Yale University Press wants you to possess the book before you access the audio files for free.
